Rough News

I got bullied into giving up my position at the Adult Store. I don’t know what I did, but honestly there’s not a lot I can do about it. With that, I spent an unholy amount of time writing up a hefty Patreon post with a rough idea on what I’m going to do now. What’s my Patreon you ask, well it’s the only thing with the same name as my website!
Because I’m me, I figured I’d write out what I said again so if you want the extended version, which you probably don’t, it’s here.

With having so much more free time on my hands, I’ve decided I’m going to invest that into my blog, my writing, and my photography. My website could use and expansion, and I could stand to learn some tips on handling this sucker better. There are probably a trillion different resources out there too, so I’m good.

Graffiti out the Wazoo

I mostly want to do this more, so I’ve planned out some scheduling updates and future plans. They’re not bad, I promise. It’s just more of me.
Right now, I just post something on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. I have my closet almost finished, so why not do something fun with fashion? It won’t always be me playing dress-up, because I like looking at what’s new and different trends, so I figured something like “Fashion Friday”. Maybe even throw in my attempts at learning makeup into that and I’ll be ready to go!
I also really enjoy gaming, and with having nothing to do all weekend, Monday GameDay is what I’m thinking. That gives me two days to try something new, or invest time into something I really enjoy. Plus I can buy Turnips on Sunday so… But yeah, some schedule updates for the near future. I say the near future, but I have a few more things I have to still do.

My writing and photography skills are not of legend, but that doesn’t mean I should give up on them. I’m going to take the time to hopefully finish a draft or two of my novel this year, and buy a camera. For those who are curious, since my last novel update I’ve written maybe three words. It’s rough I know. And with photography, I live in such a beautiful place, I would live to show it to the world. Even if I don’t buy a camera right away, my phone does a really good job.

I want to grow who I am on the internet and as a person. With that, I need help. I know not everyone has the money to spare, so please, follow my social media, comment on stuff, and share who I am with people you know. I’m always around and I really enjoy everything that has come out of this hobby I started almost year ago now.
I appreciate all of you, and I cannot say that enough. Without you, I wouldn’t have made it this far. You mean a lot to me, and I hope you all are safe and well right now.

Po-ta-Hoe if You Will

Did I ever talk about the little garden area in my backyard? I just went and looked and apparently I did not, oops. So, I have a little garden area in my backyard that I used for growing herbs and peppers last year. The rosemary and sage lived, and the bay leaf is well, still standing. Otherwise everything else froze over the winter.

Clearing out all of the pine needles and ripping up all the dead plants really reminded me how much I love gardening. And I planted them at the perfect time because now it’s raining, so I don’t have to water them myself. I don’t plan on growing a lot this year just in case I buy a house and leave: I don’t want to invest money into food I won’t get to eat.

Pardon the pine needles

I know they’ve only been in the ground for a couple of days, but I don’t see any sprouts yet and it’s making me sad. I blame games like Harvest Moon for my love of farming. I’ve grown different things over the years, and some stuff grows really easy. Potatoes, lettuce and flowers are some of the easier ones I’ve grown. Although me lettuce grew straight up and was like four feet high but whatever. Herbs I find are just harder to grow. Sometimes they thrive, other times, I can look at them for too long and they die. I don’t get it totally yet, but I am still trying and always researching to see what grows nice in my part of the world.

It’s been a week and a bit now, and I’m so sad. They haven’t sprouted yet. Which honestly makes sense, but I’m an eager beaver. I’ve also now planted a lavender plant, so hopefully that thrives. When I started gardening years ago, I made my own fertilizer. Dried banana peels, non-bleached eggs shells and if I ever had any, some coffee grounds are literally all it is.

I finally found a picture of everything I planted last year! I was definitely over ambitious considering the amount of space and my knowledge on plants as a whole. And honestly I don’t think that was the final picture of everything planted. That year it was filled with everything from peppers and lettuce, to sage and catnip. Some plants had to be put into pots due to their whole “growing like a weed” thing that they did.

It just came up in my Facebook Memories

My dad got more and more into his garden as the years went by, which helps me a lot when I forget to water or maintain anything growing. Because of his hobby, I’ve decided to grow as a person, I’m so sorry but I really thought that was funny, and really invest into my attempt. Plants don’t usually grow overnight, so I’ll have to update everyone when harvest season comes around.

Which means that’s all I’ve got for today. Thanks as always! Have an awesome day!

Scenic Canyon

What a trail! Damn! It was gorgeous! Boyfriend was at work, and the walk itself is like six hours for the piece we did, so we got another party member. A friend of mine who also takes beautiful pictures! Go find his Instagram! He was a good sport, not the biggest fan of heights, but he conquered that and I think in the end he really enjoyed himself.

Graffiti on a bridge we found

Our day started off rather cloudy which was fine. Most of the trail wasn’t covered, and since the dogs have black coats this was ideal. The trail starts off as some other trail that leads to where we wanted to be or something? I don’t entirely know, but it was super cool. It’s also like, eighty percent bike friendly, so watching people on bicycles ripping by was an experience.

The river was just roaring

There were stairs, so many damn stairs. I’m naturally a lazy person, so climbing stairs is actually evil. In all reality it went up and then back down over and over again. But the views were one hundred percent worth it. This one definitely takes a sightly higher skill level though. I wouldn’t have been able to do this nearly as well a couple months ago.

Scenic Canyon Trail goes from the lake in Kelowna, all the way to the other side of town; it’s a straight up day long hike if you want. We only did a piece however. We’re not quite training for the PCT yet.

The mountains are a work of true art

I don’t have a lot to say, the views spoke for themselves really. But I made sure to get pictures! This is the rest of them. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! The Okanagan Valley has so many beautiful spots to see, and if you’re willing to go you will not be disappointed. We’ve been a quite a few hikes and walking trails and my life has changed; the world is just breathtaking.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Oh, as a side note, I hoping to really get this blog going by upgrading my website, buying a camera and really investing my time into this. I know times are tough for a lot of people, but if you want to support me I’d probably cry honestly. My PayPal and Patreon still are active, although I don’t update the patreon as much as I should. And if you can’t support with money, don’t feel bad, tell your friends about this blog, or even follow me on social media. It’s because of all of you I have grown this far. I appreciate all of you, and thanks again!

That’s all I’ve got for today! Thanks again for everything! Stay safe!
