That Time of Year Again

On Friday it snowed. I know, that word. I went back and looked and I didn’t talk about the snow last year? Normally the first snowfall of the year brings joy. I however hate winter and the holiday season. Now, I’m not totally sure if it’s PMS or I’m actually The Grinch, but I am against most of everything right now. Supposedly next week temperatures reach almost eleven on the positive side.

It’s now Tuesday and the high for today is about six, which is nice. That’s more fall weather than what we had for the past couple of days. The snow is going to start melting and walking to work will be much safer. People who don’t, or can’t in some occasions, stop at crosswalks, and ice patches make getting around difficult sometimes. When the weather gets bad, my family starts calling cop cars with their lights on “Christmas Lights”, so there’s those too. I’m mostly just saying vehicles are dangerous.

Since spending the past couple days in the snow, I’ve been kind of enjoying it. I don’t know what it is, but walking to and from work is kind of super peaceful. My headphones are out for warranty so I’ve made that trip with the background noise of the highway. Watching the road and the snow falling is a lot more pleasant. I’m pretty sure, after a couple more snowfalls, I’ll secretly love winter and whatnot. The snow has definitely been inspiring too. I’ve got a couple shorts I’ve been trying to work on since Friday.

Walking through the snow is also a great workout. You either have to lift you legs like, twenty centimeters off the ground with every step, or drag the snow. By the new year, my legs are going to be so strong. I say that, I don’t really measure my strength ever, and at this point, I’m rambling. My bad. But yeah, snow! I’m also going to go skating this year, I’ve made that promise to myself.

But yeah, that’s all I’ve got for today. Stay warm and safe out there! Oh, and check out this adorable picture of Midna! Thanks!
